Capabilities

Our Residential T-24 Services are computerized and utilize MICROPAS software, which has been specifically approve by the California Energy Commission (CEC). In conjunction with this sanctioned computerized program comes over 35 years of experience in the construction industry, enabling this company to apply first hand learned knowledge.

  • COMPLIANCE REPORTS OVERVIEW
The comprehensive reporting facilities of MICROPAS provides you with the proper documentation for nearly all compliance situations -- eliminating hand calculations, making the most of your time, and speeding the plan checking process -- by providing clear, complete and concise reports.

  • CF-1R REPORT: CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE
The CF-1R Report lists the energy features of the building in general terms. It provides useful design information for the designer and builder, and is checked by the building department during the field inspection. The CF-1R Report must be signed by the appropriate parties and attached to the building plans.

  •  HVAC SIZING CALCULATIONS
The MICROPAS HVAC Sizing Report shows the design loads for the heating and cooling equipment. These loads are one of the criteria used to select HVAC equipment for the residence.

  • MF-1R: MANDATORY FEATURES CHECKLIST
The MF-1R checklist documentation confirming that the building design incorporates at least the minimum energy features as required by the state. Although this checklist is primarily filled in by hand, it is printed by MICROPAS in order that all compliance documentation is has a consistent look.

  • ADDITIONS AND ALTERATIONS
Combines the results of the existing and existing-plus-addition runs to determine compliance for additions and alterations that do not comply without improvements to the existing home.

  •  PRODUCTION HOUSING
MICROPAS has the powerful capability of analyzing compliance for production housing (subdivisions).
In order to be built in any compass orientation, production housing must be shown to comply in the four cardinal directions (north, south, east and west). MICROPAS automatically performs calculations for each of these orientations and then summarizes the compliance results on a single CF-1R page as shown on the left.
This feature uses only one building data file and thus saves the hassle of maintaining four files as the building design is finalized. In addition, the number of pages in the submittal is reduced by at least a factor of four by eliminating the need for separate CF-1R reports for each orientation.

  • FEDERAL TAX CREDIT
In February 2006, the IRS rules for the tax credits for energy efficient new construction available under the Energy Policy Act of 2005 were released. A new home qualifies for a $2000 tax credit to the builder if it is certified to have 50% lower heating and cooling than the 2004 Supplement to the 2003 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). 10% of the savings must come from envelope improvements.
